Here's what she says about her layout:
"I had a blast working with this amazing sketch! I used a favorite photo that I took of my daughter, Anne as the basis for my page and I pretty much followed the sketch closely! I placed the banner (that I used from my stash) right under Anne's photo! Then I added the letters to create "smile" on that banner"

"Fan Freaking Tastic" LO by DT Cassie

Happy Hump Day! :)

Today, DT Cassie is inspiring us with her lovely layout based on the
July Sketch by GSA Emma Stafrace:
Here's what Cassie said about her layout:

"I love using sketches as a starting point for my layouts. I find it so easy to rotate the sketches and change them up to fit the pictures I have and my scrapping style. I had this vertical 4x6 picture of my hubby after he made his first batch of BBQ sauce and so I just rotated the sketch. Instead of another picture, I just moved the journaling card, which really just holds my title. I then created a fun banner with some twine and some stickers.  This was such a fun sketch to work with!"

and here is what Patricia said about her layout:

"Hey Crafter's! I enjoyed making this layout, using this sketch challenge! I found a cool selfie and a rather cool quote from Audrey Hepburn, love this quote:

'I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve my best!'

Thanks for looking and hope we continue to inspire you!"

"So Happy & So Sweet" LO by DT Rachelle

Happy Monday!

Today's inspiration is from our DT Rachelle.  Check out her beautiful take on this months sketch:
Here's what Rachelle said about her layout:
"For this DT inspiration I used the entire sketch 100% and using peach and aqua colors. Spalshed with black and gold and distressed edges. I went with a shabby chic style adding mixed media toward the center, freely used ink and spirtz. For the picture I used designer scissors for a fancy cut .The banner displays gold hearts peach pearls. Next, I applied chipboard flourish and title. Chipboard is one of my fave products from my stash. The center displays a flower cluster and ribbon twine. Another fave from my stash are the enamel dots and wood veneer stars. The number "8" stands for Olivia's age 8 months at the time of these pictures. The top picture shows her crawling and showing off her personalized diaper rompers.

Now it is your turn to show us your take on this sketch."

Here's the sketch:

I hope this layout has inspired you to try out the sketch! :)
Don't forget to upload your layout before the 29th!

Happy Scrapping!

"Then & Now" LO by DT Sherri

Hello!

Today we are inspiring you with this lovely layout from DT Sherri:

This is what Sherri said about her layout:

"This sketch really appealed to me, as it has lots of different "stuff" going on, and I thought it would be a great chance to use up some of my "Stash!" First I needed to pick 2 photos - and, according to the sketch, I had to be willing to cut one of them in half!! ( That brought me right back to the first scrapbook class I took, many many years ago. I still remember the feeling of angst, when I cut my first photo on my paper trimmer!!) Now, after cutting many a photo over the years, I looked upon having to cut a photo in half for this sketch as a FUN challenge, and a new way to add a photo to my layout!

I decided to make the theme/title of my layout "Then and Now" and used an old photo of my husband and I from when we were first dating @ circa 1976 for the "Then," and a photo of us from this year, that was taken on our recent trip to Alaska.

YES, we were high school sweethearts, and I can't believe that almost 40 years have transpired!!- YIKES, it seems like just yesterday, or well maybe more like last month?! LOL!!
I got to use LOTS of STUFF from my STASH on this page! I really HOPE it INSPIRES YOU to play along with us!

"

"Cat Lover" LO by DT Tanti

It's Saturday and today we are sharing DT Tanti's gorgeous layout to inspire you!
Here's what Tanti shares with us about her layout:

"I was inspired by this beautiful sketch to scrap this two photos of my daughter when she was a little girl. And again, I chose to use bright colour papers for this page.

I just followed the main design of the sketch but I moved the second photo to the corner at the bottom of the page so that I had enough space for the title and the journaling.
To complete the challenge I added a wood veneer banner from American Crafts."

Here's the sketch:

See you tomorrow with more inspiration!!

"Sweet Girl" LO by DT Elena

Happy Friday!

Today, we are inspiring you with the wonderful layout by DT Elena:

Here's what Elena said about her layout:

"I love my sweet little girl and I tell her every moment that she is beautiful... and every time she reply "ok but don't say me every 5 seconds!!" It is one of our favorite sentences that replace the "I love you"...is like "ditto" that Sam (Patrick Swayze) said to Molly in Ghost."

Here's the sketch by GSA Emma Stafrace:

Have a nice weekend! :)

"The Pirate's Lair Awaits" LO by DT Steffanie

Today's inspiration is from our DT Steffanie.  Here's her awesome layout:

This is what Steffanie said about her layout:

"I didn't change much from the original sketch. I used a 4x6 photo instead of a 4x3...and I did not cut my photo in half as suggested by the sketch. I moved my journal card to the right...I just liked it better there. And I changed the angle of my smaller accent photo. The only journaling is on my journal card and because I added a banner below my photo/journal block, the title moved a little lower. Pretty thankful for the banner punch I had...made for quick cutting of all those little pieces!

Fun sketch---thanks, Emma!"

Now it's your turn to show us your layout based on Emma's sketch:
Don't forget your banner! :)

Sketch Challenge #28 with Guest Sketch Artist Emma Stafrace

Hello Crafters!

Today we are revealing our July Sketch Challenge as well as introducing our

July Guest Sketch Artist
Emma Stafrace
"My name is Emma. I live on the East coast of Australia in sunny Queensland with my husband and son. My husband has a fly in fly out job and now that my son goes to Kindy I am finding I have way too much time on my hands so decided to start  a small freelance graphic design business called The Nifty Pixel . I occasionally do customized blogs and logo designs but mostly create digital scrapbook kits and also offer lots of great sketches called Page Drafts. Page Drafts were originally an entity on their own but now come under the umbrella of my main brand 'The Nifty Pixel'.

I scrapbook using many mediums, my main being digital however I am a sucker for playing with scissors so every now and then I'll create a hybrid version of a digital page that I absolutely love. This is a fun process utilizing the digital products by printing them and then trying to emulate the textures and overall design in a traditional way. Using chipboard elements, patterned papers and other fun scrapbook products like distress inks & mists still get my heart pumping he he.

If you are looking for some fun sketches to freely use in projects head over to Scrapstacks or alternatively to Pinterest  and check out my collections. To see more of my scrapbook projects pop over and say hello at my personal blog Just A Girl With Ideas  I'd absolutely love to meet you.."

Here is the fabulous sketch Emma created for our July challenge:

Carole we are excited to have you on our team and looking forward to the awesome inspiration you will be sharing with us!

For today's inspiration, Carole has created this awesome masculine page, inspired by our
July Stash Challenge:

"Awesome"
Carole:
Wow I am so excited and honored to be a part of this fab team. Here is my first layout. I loved this challenge, it helps you think outside the box! My pages are usually very girly and flowery, I am not used to doing masculine type layouts, so I really challenged myself on this one. I wanted to add more, but sometimes less is more as they say!! I hope you like it.
So, without further ado, here's how I did this page and this is what I used.

P is for Paper Clip,
 H is for Hessian
O is for Oval
 T is for Tag
O is Ocean Boat Blue Cardstock
S is for Stamping (around the page).

For full instructions and a list of products I used, please go to my blog. http://theprettypaperpatisserie.blogspot.co.uk/"
